life for rent为什么翻译成漂泊的心
外国的文艺作品的名称有些如果直译过来，会不知所云，或者失掉该作品本身所含有的那种寓意和美感。比如汤姆·汉克斯演过一部Cast away，说的是他所乘坐的航班在太平洋上空失事，他落入海中又随波逐流被冲到一个不知名的小岛上，独自存活了几个月，后终于被救起而重返现代社会的故事。这个片名 Cast away 直译的话，是被扔掉。所以有人把它译为“荒岛 余生”。这位网友说的这个life for rent，直译是“为了租金的生活”，不清楚是电影还是小说，如果也是一部文艺作品的话，相信你对这个直译也是十分不满意的。该作品我没有看过，不敢乱加猜测和延伸，不过从它的英文名来看，很可能描写的是一个或几个居无定所的人物的生活与内心。不知道说的对不对。仅供参考。
